00:00 | Quarantine/Apollo Bay BBQ and join the RYCT Peartree picnic BBQ on Sunday | Overnight trip | We will have a BBQ at Quarantine/Apollo Bay on Saturday ~MD and afternoon. On Sunday the CYCT has been invited join the RYCT at Pear Tree for a BBQ lunch. You will need to fully self cater with food, drink and outdoor dining facilities. There is a big BBQ cooking plate to share. Let us hope they have the 'weather touch'! |

00:00 | Kermandie Marina/ Hotel and Huon Cruise with O/N at Franklin. | Overnight trip | The committee has decided to extend the invitation for the Queen’s Birthday weekend to most southern yacht clubs. The Kermandie Hotel venue will set up for us while the organization at Franklin will be covered by local boating groups. As we wish it to be an inclusive good fun 50/60’s Night, volunteers are needed with ideas and involvement to help make it happen. We could have a Trivia Quiz based on music and photo identity identification, fancy dress, rock and roll dance competition etc…Please assist in the fun in planning and on the night. Let us all make it happen! The planned agenda is: Saturday 9th Evening destination is the Kermandie Marina (reduced rates) and a ‘50’s Night’ at the Kermandie Hotel (with music, dancing and buffet meal at ~$ 35 .00 pp). Sunday 10th Motor/sail escorted to a Huonville turn around, returning to Franklin for afternoon and evening activities. Laurence Burgin from Franklin Marine will organize a sheltered BBQ (~ $12 pp), possible local wine tasting, tours including boat building, and the local Naval Museum. Monday 11th Stay longer or sail for home. As always, skippers will be responsible for their craft, its navigation and the safety of crew members. If participating, could you please give the following details; Boat name, length, draft, and type of vessel. Owner's/skipper's name, contact phone numbers (incl mobile) and number of people expected to be on board. (Any special food requirements, please contact Sue at the Kermandie Hotel) Number of bookings required for ‘50’s Night’ at Kermandie and the Sunday BBQ at Franklin. Other activities,eg. wine tasting, admissions, etc will be an extra cost Are you interested in going by car, either one or both days; also if the weather is unsuitable for going by boat? Payments will be on the day unless otherwise advised, but commitments are important.
